BOOK

The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes by Suzanne Collins

First of all, this is a prequel to the Hunger Games series so if you haven't read that series (or at least watched the movies...), I'M SHOCKED! WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN?! Just kidding but I would definitely start with those first. This book is a glance into the child and teen-hood of President Snow and how he became the monster/villain he is, as well as a history of how the Hunger Games themselves came to be everything they are. It puts the whole series you know into full perspective and is written just as well as the rest of the books. Enticing, entertaining, and full of excitement. I think you'll love it! Bonus: The movie for this comes out in November!! Can you tell I'm pumped?

CURRENT BEAUTY OBSESSION

I know this palette looks bright and scary but on the cheeks...it is SO CUTE! It's fun, bright, & makes you look happy and rosy. In the palette, there's a cream blush, a powder blush, & a powder highlighter all in bright, bubble gum pink. I like to apply the cream first with a sponge, top with the powder, and add the highlight above the blush where I apply my normal highlighter. You could also use the highlight all over as a blush topper if you wanted to add some luminosity & shimmer to your cheeks.

LAST MONTH'S BEST SELLER NuBiome Pre & Postbiotic

Gut health is something I have been especially cognizant about over the past year. I was diagnosed with anxiety last year and part of that major anxiety for me was not feeling well...nausea & stomach cramping were almost a daily occurrence. After finally getting a formal diagnosis & starting meds for that, I wanted to make sure I was doing everything in my power to get my body feeling the best I could. I was taking care of the mental piece but also wanted to take care of the physical piece. The better my body felt, the less anxious I would feel. Not to mention, your gut health is literally connected to every other system in your body. (Google it! It's called your second brain for a reason.)

I had tried several kinds of pre/pro/postbiotics before...and to be completely honest, they all made me nauseous and my stomach hurt (lol what was the point then). This one, NuBiome, was the only one that one, didn't make me feel worse, and two, I actually felt improved the way I was feeling. It was also the only one that didn't taste like medicine and had to choke down. It's watermelon raspberry lemon flavor & tastes like Crystal Lite! It has 50mg of caffeine so it's a great pick-me-up for the morning or afternoon. The nitty gritty: It supports the balance of good & bad bacteria in your gut, helps maintain healthy digestions & energy levels, and improves intestinal health.

Each pack comes with 30 individual packets so they are easy to take on the go. I like to mix mine with about 4-6 oz of water but some people like more or less - really up to your tastes. You can get a $10 discount if you put it on monthly subscription!
